Usiminas CEO attends meeting with young entrepreneurs
An exchange of experience, a frank and open discussion about career, market, innovation, security, people and crisis management. These were some of the relevant issues in the event, held last Tuesday (24), in Belo Horizonte, between Usiminas CEO, Sergio Leite, and young entrepreneurs of the group “Confraria Fora da Caixa” (Outside the Box Brotherhood).
“Confraria”, is a community of young professionals founded this year in Belo Horizonte, which invites monthly an executive to address issues such as: professional career, learning and challenges. Among the group's guests there were names such as current Cemig CEO, Cledorvino Belini and Ibram Council´s Chairman (Brazilian Mining Institute), Wilson Brumer.
In this last edition of the meetings, Mr. Leite spoke about his 40 years dedicated to Usiminas and the challenges of one in an organization about to complete 57 years of activities being one of the largest flat steel producers in the continent.
The exchange of experience between generations is one of Usiminas Diversity Program pillars and, according to the CEO, “It is very motivating to realize the interest of these young entrepreneurs on the most diverse subjects. Initiatives like this, where we have the opportunity to exchange knowledge between different generations, are enriching both for those who are starting their careers and those who have been in the job market longer. It´s very gratifying to see that young people are committed to the present and future of our country”.
In addition to Sergio Leite, People Management and Innovation Director, Cesar Bueno, and Corporate Director of Communication and Institutional Relations, Ana Gabriela Dias Cardoso, also participated in the chat.
