Usiminas invests in Corporate University

Initiative seeks to play a significant role in employees training and offers dozens of courses in several different areas

Usiminas launched its Corporate University today, Friday 02/22/, at a lecture given by philosopher and educator Zeca de Mello. The initiative brings together Usiminas several educational actions, connected in a way that contributes to a solid quality training path for the company's approximately 13,000 employees. According to Luís Márcio Ramos, corporate Director of Organizational Development and People Management, Usiminas Corporate University, gathers under the same roof, all training offered by the company at different levels, as well as giving employees the opportunity to meet other courses which can be done freely and also gives access to language courses, undergraduate and continuing education. The Director also emphasizes that the launch of Corporate University reflects the new moment lived by the company. “Being stuck to the knowledge of the past will not always bring the change we need for the future we seek. For this year of 2019 we will have new contents focused on our DNA, besides having several actions that will value fast and practical daily knowledge”, says Luís Márcio.

Usiminas Corporate University was presented today at the company's headquarters in Belo Horizonte, and in the coming weeks will be launched at the operational units of Ipatinga and Cubatão, also with the lecture given by Zeca de Mello.
