Volunteering: this is Usiminas’ thing

Volunteer activities have been carried out at Usiminas since 1999. Over these more than 20 years, our volunteers have always been active in collecting clothes, food and toys in specific campaigns, in addition to the annual mobilization carried out on Volunteer Day, to serve the communities located in the regions where Usiminas is present. Recently, on November 4th, Usiminas wrote a new chapter in this story with the launch of VOU – Voluntários Usiminas, officially presenting the new platform where it will be possible to create more actions and increase connections between volunteers. Rodrigo Laporte, for example, has been a laboratory worker at Usiminas for 21 years and, for about six years, he is part of the volunteer team in Ipatinga (MG).
