Several thousand people have visited Usiminas units throughout the country. With the Open Doors Usiminas Program , the company constantly seeks to get even closer to the communities. In “Vale do Aço” (Steel Valley), where most of its units are located (Ipatinga Plant, Unigal, Usiminas Mecânica), the company has already received nearly 600 people from the surrounding neighborhoods. In 2020, with the pandemic restrictions, the company started to promote visits in smaller groups, with prior testing and all the health protocols. In addition, we innovated by carrying out a virtual tour through the environmental investments that are being presented to the community.

Established to meet Usiminas employees healthcare needs, FSFX has expanded in five decades and currently has a hospital network with most of its services aimed at patients of Unified Health System (SUS).
